Why AreWe Different?
Southron Siamese Pleasers is dedicated to raising Quality, Properly Socialized, Healthy kittens. We handle these kittens with love from the day they are born up to the days they leave us. We are a hobby breeder, so this is something we love doing rather than something we do as a Business to make profit. Our kittens will provide you with lifetime Companionship. Our kittens are vocal, active, and friendly. We strive to better the Siamese breed and create true, Old Style and Classic kittens. This has been our passion for many, many years. Siamese are truly amazing, and I believe everyone should get a chance to own one!

When contacting a Breeder |
Once you have decided on the breed of your new addition, it is time to find the breeder that is right for you. Before you contact a breeder, it is crucial to do your research on this breeder and the breed you are interested in. Throughly look through every page on the breeder's website and read all of their information. Know your facts about this breed and know what you are looking for. Be aware of the price that quality, registered kittens from Reputable Breeders are priced at. Most breeders get so many inquires that they will only respond to serious inquirers. Your first email to this breeder is most important as first impressions are everything. Be detailed and knowledgeable. Give as much information about yourself, family, other pets, past experiences, etc. Breeders want to get to know YOU. Every Reputable breeder will only place their kittens in approved homes.

This is one of the key steps in having a smooth adoption process with your breeder, and I cannot stress it enough. It is very important to communicate and have courtesy when needed. Sadly, this can often be a "make it" or "break it" in the kitten adoption process.

What is a Waiting List? |
We very rarely have kittens available upon request. All of our kittens are usually reserved months before they are born. This is why I have created a Wait List. We will place you on this list after you have been chosen as an approved home. To be placed on a Waiting List you need to be approved of being Financially and Mentally able to support and take care of this kitten. You will need to be committed to us. We will not put people on our Waiting Lists who are "Shopping around". We always reserve to right to have first pick from any litter.

Can We Visit Your Cattery? |
We are not a Cattery, but, you are always welcome to come speak with us and visit our adult cats at our home. Although, if we have young kittens in the house, we do not allow visitors to see them. We always strive to keep our kittens in the best health. Little Kittens are very delicate and can easily contract infections and diseases from visitors who have been in contact with other animals who carry that disease or infection. This can, also, become a very stressful situation for the kittens and their mom. So, to keep our kittens happy and in their best health before leaving our home, we do not allow visitors to come out and see or handle our young kittens.
|
All our kittens will leave our home no earlier than they are ready--no exceptions! This is generally at 10 weeks old. Please make sure you are free on or a day or so within the day your kitten is ready to go. We will let you know very early on when this is. You will need to bring a small crate with you. If you are traveling at a distance more than 3 hours, please bring a small litter box to avoid any accidents. It is your job to help them feel comfortable and safe. Please be mindful that you arrive on time as we will most likely have several other people lined up on the same day to come get their kittens. We want to give our undivided attention to you when you come so please be on time or notify us if you will be early or late.

Picking Up Your New Kitten |
Can We Return our Kitten? |
A Kitten is a living, breathing animal. Not a piece of merchandise you can return if you decide you don't want it any more. You must be mentally and financially prepared for a long term commitment caring for a kitten. Sometimes in life complications do happen. In this case, we will take the kitten back rather than it going to a shelter--but there are no refunds.
|
Once the kitten changes hands from ours to yours, it is your job to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible. The kitten might be timid and hide at the back of their crate or loudly call out--this is completely normal. They have been uprooted from their litter-mates, people they are familiar with, and the home they were raised in to something completely new. So be patient with them and take it slow. They will soon learn the smells and sounds of their new homes.
We always recommend putting them in a small area their first few days with you. |
